Band Bio
The name Malaika means "angel" in Swahili, and we think you will soon see why. With her gorgeous sotto voice accompanied by her trio of pals on saxaphone, standing bass, and drums, you will be carried away to a time when men were gangsters and women were sultry. When you could walk down the street and hear the intoxicating jazz tunes pull you into any number of bars and your martini would be just the way you liked it. The lady on stage would make every man fall in love with her and every woman want to be her. Come enjoy the sound that is Malaika.
Malaika is:
Malaika - songstress
Mchumba - saxophone and Malaika's big brother
James - drums/percussion
Charles - standing bass
